Fraser Valley Economic Summit

The City of Abbotsford is hosting the upcoming Fraser Valley Economic Summit on Tuesday, September 9th at the Abbotsford Centre.
The event will kick-off with an excellent networking session during breakfast where delegates are strategically placed among the business showcase which will profile 20 booths from companies all over the Valley. 
Keynote speakers include:
  • Minister of Finance, Kerry-Lynne Findlay
  • Motivational Speaker, Alvin Law
  • Kinder Morgan CEO, Ian Anderson
Delegates will be provided with a second networking opportunity during lunch and have the ability to again, visit our exhibitors at the business showcase.

Bill Good Confirmed as Keynote Speaker
CKNW radio talk show host Bill Good is confirmed as the emcee and final keynote speaker at the upcoming Fraser Valley Economic Summit onSeptember 9th.
Bill Good is one of British Columbia's best known and respected broadcasters. He has been an anchor for CBC's evening news for ten years, Canada Tonight and the CTV Evening news, and is the host of CKNW radio's the Bill Good Show which airs every weekday morning.

Changes to the Agricultural Land Commission Act
The Ministry of Agriculture wants your help.  Until August 22nd you are invited to visit the engagement site and provide your input on the potential changes to the Agricultural Land Commission Act.


The online survey will close at noon on August 22nd. Have a read of the July, 2014 Consultation Paper and then please provide your input.
