Build Connections With New Online Tool

ITA and WorkBC are excited to announce an exciting new way to connect apprentices and employers - with their online Apprentice Job Match tool on WorkBC's website.

The Introduction of this tool is part of ITA's increased efforts to better support apprentices through the apprenticeship pathway and to increase continuation and completion rates across the province.

This new tool will benefit both jobseekers and employers:

  • Jobseekers use Apprentice Job Match and identify as an apprentice, say Level 2 Electrician, and then search to see which employers in this province are looking to sponsor an apprentice in that particular trade and level.
  • Employers use Apprentice Job Match to add apprentice-specific information into your job posting, to help find the right apprentice for your workforce.

A Guidebook For Viable Values-Based Businesses

Businesses have a vital role to play in building a better world for people and the environment, and incorporating values into their operations achieves significant positive impacts in our communities, including:

  • Innovative products and services that build sustainable, resilient local economies and/or encourage market transformation (eg. Green products, local food enterprises)
  • Positive economic development in communities
  • Inclusive employment for marginalized populations
  • Products and services for underserved communities

Values-based businesses are shaped and led in all ways by community-focused values that guide how they use their resources, how they plan for the future and how they treat their constituents and employees.
