Business Incubators - Fashionable Again

Thanks to the recession, business incubators in the U.S. and Canada are suddenly fashionable again... and many are expanding to keep up with demand from entrepreneurs. Both non-profit and for-profit incubators flourished in the 1980s and 1990s only to be adversely impacted by the dot com bust that began in early 2000. Just 10 years later, the number of incubators is at an all-time high: 1,200 facilities nurturing approximately 41,000 start-up companies.
